We're here!

After an excruitating long flight we're here! If I hadn't forgot the camera you could see how incredibly lovely our canal boat is. It's new and has fabulous views. I am riding around town on a rented dutch bike that weighs one million pounds! It's a tank, but goes fast down hill.
We're in the nieghborhood of the Anne Frank house, but I still haven't got up the nerve to go visit. It's going to wreck me. I'm trying to talk myself into going tomorrow since it's our last full day here.
We did go see the Van Gough museum, which wrecked me also. Sad story. Suicide.
Amazing seeing those glowing paintings in person though. I saw new ones that are now my favorites. "Harvest"and Almond Tree".
We have mostly been eating great food, drinking great beer and riding around town on our bikes. The canals and bridges are so pretty. The biking culture is prevasive. Everyone bikes to all events. I have seen mothers with three children all on one bike. We saw a formal wedding party bike up to the church for the ceremony. Fashionable girls in high heels and jeans biking to clubs. Business people in suits biking with briefcases. I love it! It's a little biking utopia!
