Brugges

Hi!

We're in Belgium in a cute old town. I see 1649 stamped on a lot of the brick buildings here. We have bike 288 kilometers from Amsterdam through the fiestpad netwerk- a system of lovingly designed bike paths the form routes throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. Delightful! We have been riding the very scenic "Noordezee" route along the North Sea. It's a beautiful landscape with miles of dunes and beaches. Many dikes and bridges. The route took us through farmland and along canals, through pretty storybook towns and landed us at outdoor cafes just at the perfect time. Of course we are always ready to eat because we're biking all day. I didn't find out till now that the prevailing wind is against us. We had a hard two days of biking into a fierce headwind. We have pretty heavy loads too. But all the hard work makes the beer taste even better.
The Dutch have the cleanest camp grounds! Love it!
So now I'm going to try to load some pitures- I had to buy a camera so I could document!
